Default Which splitter is better?

Which splitter would be better for a dual sub setup with these cables?

Product 1

or

Product 2

Are there other better quality splitters from monoprice that you would recommend?

Are you using two subs or just want to have both the L,R connected to the sub?

Basically, why do you want to split whatever it is your splitting?

I dont know about the OP, but I am using a generic RCA splitter similar to the first link in the OP. I will be using the splitter myself to split the mono LFE signal to the sub and to the amp running by bass shakers.

I am guessing that this is for your subwoofer? The Y-Splitter from monoprice is possible the cheapest items out(Don't get me wrong, I love monoprice).

I had ordered those and they didn't work well for me.

I ordered some from Millionbuy, not sure if you heard of them or not.

Here is a link to the ones I ordered and when I replaced them from monoprice I noticed a difference.

Dual sub. I would need to split sound from AV receiver to the subs, thus the need for a splitter.

Thanks for the link. I will check it out.

What did not work for you when you purchased the Y-splitter from monoprice?

Not being mean or anything but I had one of those sub cables before and cut it open to remove a piece of the shielding from the connector itself to try and get rid of a slight hum I was having. I cut it open I was surprised at how disappointing the quality was and didn't reuse it. Monoprice HDMI's are fine, but their analog cables are seriously lacking (my opinion).

For a quality and inexpensive sub-cable try LC-1 cable and one foot Y-cable Blue Jeans Cable.

I had an issue with the Subs hz, by not getting low enough. It was messing up with my settings.

I think I blamed everything except the Y-Splitter. Now that I have changed it, I feel kinda bad for thinking some of the things I thought was the problem.

Wow, the price difference is huge. I guess one has to pay for quality.

Yup, these are not expensive so buying both is not out of the question.

In reality this is probably as cheap as it gets for cables that use quality wire and connectors. You won't be sorry, as the benefits are real.

There are cables costing hundreds to thousands of dollars but where it counts is the quality, and the Blue Jeans LC-1 is just that. Analog cables are very susceptible to picking up noise and loss of signal. You're not wasting money, you are actually making out "big time" thanks to Blue Jeans.

At the price blue jeans charges, those cables are a steal. Just go on audiogon (www.audiogon.com) and look at the prices for used cables. I think you might be shocked to see what cables can run.

This Y adapter from CableSimple has better shielding than the generic splitter from Monoprice. It is only $4.48.

Hey Big D, that Y-Splitter is (1)Male/(2)Female. To have the right Y-Splitter for subs a Y-splitter with (1)Female/(2)Male

One male, two female Y adapter is for the back of the receiver to use two subwoofers. Two male, one female Y adapter is for using both inputs on the subwoofer for an additional gain of a few db's. I believe the OP wanted to use two subs.

Your right I made a mistake to the OP of this thread. I hope they read this before they order.

Your splitter is from the receiver out to two subs
Mine is a splitter to a sub for both inputs from one line

To the OP, Here is a Link for the splitter from the receiver out to two subs

I agree, monoprice analog cables are absolute trash. You get what you paid for which is absolutely nothing. Spend some more money and don't short-change your system with inferior cables.

Although their speaker wires are fine.

At least the regular ones are. The premium ones are better but of course they're not the best. I'm using a 25' regular component cable (regular) for my projector and a 50' subwoofer cable (premium). They both do the job well. I got a splitter off eBay though... I didn't trust the Monoprice one.
