Got a Aspire 69206 with a ATI graphic card, plue a blu ray film eventually, takes about 50secs for it to load onto the laptop, film plays on the laptop but the controls dont work only if i press enter also if i connect a tv up to the laptop it wont play on the tv comes up with sumthing to do with the graphic card. The Tv does pick the laptop up straight away but soon as it does it cums up with the graphic card issue, ive tried various tvs, soon as I connct the cable it says sumthing about software or Graphic card probs.

A little more information would be helpful. Like what software you are using and what TV you have.
Sounds like you are trying to access the menu with your mouse. I've found that Blu-ray menus don't allow you to use the mouse to select any of the sub-menus. You must use the arrow keys and Enter to select them. As far as the TV situation, does the computer at least detect the TV? |

Many newer Blu-ray Discs you cannot point and click on - you have to use the arrow keys and Enter.
When connected to the TV, you have to select TV Only. You cannot have the Blu-ray play on both displays at the same time. Might be a Fn key combination like on these VAIOs - Fn + F7 toggles between laptop display and TV/HDMI. Hope this helps! |

First, it's not a DVD, it's a Blu-ray Disc.
Not sure what you are asking. The player software should work by pointing and clicking The menus on screen from the Blu-ray Disc itself will most likely require arrow keys and Enter to select. |

I think its called CineDash media console, on the left of the keyboard its like a touch thing and u can turn the voulme up or down play pause or fast forrward the dvd. Well I can turn the volume up and thats a bit it. Once the dvd has finally loaded the menu comes up I have to press enter to play the film, and once the film has started I still cant use the console it doesent work. The other question was y does it take nearly a minute to load the dvd and the last question is Ive connected the laptop top to various tvs and a little screen pops up on the laptop saying its picked the tv up how do I want to see it, and if I click dual screen a message will pop up on the tv saying somethin to do with the software or something to do with the graphic card

If the player software isn't designed/coded to use the extra buttons, they won't work.
Load times vary from machine and software - and whether or not the software is open already when you insert the disc. Inserting the disc then waiting for the player software to open - adds waiting time. As stated, you cannot watch a Blu-ray on two displays at the same time - you have to choose one or the other. HDCP will not allow two screens. |

why doesent this laptop come with a recovery disk for example if i need to reformat it[/QUOTE]
a lot of company's are to cheap to place a DVD in the box. these computers come with the recovery files on the hard drive in a hidden partition. The OEM installed a program, that lets you make your own Recovery disks. You should do this now before it's to late. Look for a Recovery icon on your desktop. and burn your recovery disks. |

Recovery discs - there should be something that will allow you to burn your own Recovery Media. Not familiar with Acer, but there should be something maybe in Help and Support. |
