Default 'Unfaithful' - colour fluctuation

I just bought the US edition of 'Unfaithful' and I noticed a strange momentary fluctuation of colour in one shot, which appears to be intrinsic to the disc as it happens each time I play it.

In Chapter 15 in the scene where Richard Gere confronts Olivier Martinez, there is a shot of Martinez at the point when he says "Oh I didn't know it did that" (when he sees Gere producing the snowing effect by shaking the ornament that he's about to use as a murder weapon). The disc elapsed time at the start of this shot is 75 minutes 53 seconds.

During this single shot, which lasts about five seconds, the background colour of the wall at the top right of the picture fluctuates between two shades of brown three or four times within those few seconds.

This doesn't happen on the Region 1 DVD - the colour is perfectly stable there.

I've occasionally noticed similar momentary fluctuations on other BDs and DVDs, but I made a particular note of this one so that I could ask about it here.

If anyone else reading this has the BD of 'Unfaithful', I'd really appreciate it if you could check your copy at this point to see if you get the same fluctuation.

As I mentioned, it's a repeatable effect with my equipment so I don't believe it could be a hardware problem. Assuming it is intrinsic to the disc, can anyone tell me why this happens - is it just a mastering flaw?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
