Exclamation Proof Blu-ray is winning!!

I just noticed this on my xbox360 a Blu-ray Add for Dejavu !!! This is no joke no photoshop bs it is on the first floor of the LVU campus just go through the door on the right from the spawn point.
I am loving this, one of MS's top selling games advertising blu-ray movies!

Wow, so we can declare a winner based on a paid advertisement?

No but it shure is funny they are advertising for blu-ray when they belong solely to the HD-DVD camp.
They also failed to put a HD-DVD drive in the "elite" which came out a week ago perhaps they are losing faith in there own product.

I don't see why there should even be two formats to begin with. Blu-ray has more support then HD does. I suppose that you ask the same question with VHS and beta, why the two formats? Blu-ray is clearly selling better then HD is and is more popular. We'll have to see how much longer this format war goes on.

You know, you lost me because your photo is so dark. I can't figure out what the background is. You say this is on your 360 box? I'm lost.

Please clarify???

It is a photo from Rainbow Six Vegas playing co op terrorist hunt online at the LVU Campus. If you have the game don't go up the stairs go to the right the poster for Deja Vu is on the the left.

If you read the first post it is a screen shot of Rainbow Six: Vegas on the xbox 360 has to be a online terrorist hunt in the LVU campus.

HD-DVD was the "chosen" format, but Sony said they thought BD was far superior (which it is) that they weren't going to give up on it. (Also, financial implications are huge). So they kept developing BD, and as we can all see, most studios love it, but HD-DVD was the one chosen at first to succeed DVD.

Chosen by whom? Blu-ray (recorders) have been out in Japan since 2003.

On what basis do you imply HD DVD was the chosen format?
If you're referring to the acceptance of the DVD forum of the HD DVD format... Well, I'll tell you something about the DVD forum and HD DVD.

In 2003 and before, the format HD DVD was called AOD, or Advanced Optical Disc. It then was proposed to the DVD forum and got rejected. After some time, they just changed the name to HD DVD and the DVD forum approved the format. Then my question is: On what basis do they approve and disapprove?
Anyway, the DVD forum is just a consortium of companies, like the Blu-ray Disc Association is now and shouldn't be granted more or less influence in whether one format will succeed and the other not.

On topic: Sure is funny... This shows M$ will do anything for money. Even shoot themselves in the foot if they have to.

Well after playing this morning with several of my buddies taking turns hosting the add has been removed. It now has a LVU poster of somekind.

I don't think MS knew the add was there I think someone at the developer put it there. There has been allot of weird stuff since the last update.

My buddy watched a online team mate "fast rope" down (he was at the bottom looking up) and his teammate looked as though he was crucified like Jesus arms out to the side feet together etc. The one who was fast roping down said it looked normal on his screen.

yeah oddly enough beta was the better product supposedly (quality wise)but vhs went on to win that era of format wars.Maybe now people are more educated and if they want the best picture BD is the obvious choice
