Anyone luck enough to own a JVC DLA-RS2?

I've been doing some research on projectors. I have decided between two, the Panasonic PT-AE3000U and the JVC DLA-RS2. Of course the Panasonic is the hot item right now (awesome price). Anyone lucky enough to have seen both (or either) of these? While this is my first projector, I don't mind spending extra if I get more bang for my dollar. My biggest concern is "blobs" which until recently, I knew nothing about.

Also, I was told by an online sales guy (store withheld) that the screens are less important than they used to be because of the increased quality in projectors. Sound correct? I'm tossed between Elite, Vutech or Da-Lite.
