Blanks vs Real Bullets? Would a real cop know? Yes or no? Did that work?

I'm no expert but I'm assuming that if you are used to firing guns--you
would know the difference.

I'm surprised at you Bruce-- are you actually suggesting that there's
something unrealistic in a DIE HARD movie??

I dont think u could tell.... its actually like a real bullet does everything the same; loud,ejects shells,etc... execpt actually shoot he bullets out of the barrel

Having fired both real bullets and blanks myself, I think you can tell.

To have an extended action scene with blanks, is different than just shooting one and not knowing?

I understand Die Hard is not known for realism. Ice-cicle stabbing comes to mind. But isn't 15 minutes of shooting blanks, going to raise some eyebrows of veteran shooters?
