Default W. Release date(February)Specs+ cover art Revealed

I doubt I'll pick this up on day 1. I thought Brolin was excellent. I have a feeling we'll get a Director's Cut sometime down the road. Oliver Stone is notorious for doing just that.

I'd like to rent this when it releases. Brolin is a great actor. He was really cool on Leno a couple weeks back.

Well, i'd netflix it first. It was a little slow at times. The acting is what's reeling me in for a purchase. I'm also interested in the commentary track.

I've liked Josh Brolin ever since he played Brand in "The Goonies", but more than likely, "W." is gonna have to be a one-time rental for me.

W was an excellent film with terrific directing and performances from the actors. This'll be a nice addition to my Blu-ray library.

Can only speak for myself but I got some stuff early this week (Donnie Darko, Raging Bull) because Best Buy broke a bunch of street dates this week.

I've also seen some mom and pop stores not particularly care about when they put stuff out. And occasionally, some bigger chain stores will put out a release early in error.

(These are additional to the black strips that are always stuck to the disc side of the box.)

They never peel off cleanly, and I've had to use a special "sticky removal" fluid to get rid of the deposit left behind.

What on earth is the point of them?

Anti-theft. Yeah I hate them too, all the little spiral silver stuff underneath the black sticker is impossible to get off.

They're security tags.... the things that the store swipes over the counter to "disable" with their magnets.

I've always understood that the black strip is some kind of security tag - but why does the additional square-shaped sticker have to be there as well? And if it's so significant, why do only a small number of BDs have it?

There are two separate types, the square one is for checkpoint systems and the strip is for sensormatic. Different stores use different door alarms and LionsGate instituted both a few years back to eliminate the added sku's needed for different retailers.

Thanks for the info. I just wish they could somehow make the square tags so that they can be peeled off cleanly without leaving a lot of gunge behind. It shouldn't be that difficult surely?
