Default Suntory_Times Beedroom Setting-up (and some building)

I am currently moving which means it is time to set-up my new beedroom theater. I currently intend on keepng all of the same equipement bar the screen (though that may change).

See this thread to see the results thus far.

Anyway, my plans for building a new screen are as below.

Though I am looking at building so as I cave two black sheets I can pull down to different levels for differnt aspect ratios.

Later today i'm making a new fs mirror.

No spare room for this in the new place? Basement perhaps?

Not really, as a student I lived in a dingy old room for a while and am know moving to my own little unit out the back of another house. Neddles to say I don't really have spare space (or a spare room). Sadly Australia also doesn't really 'do' basements (back several years ago when my parents where looking to build they wanted a basement but couldn't find someone who was confident enough to gaurantee there work). Though I do believe they are starting to pop up here and there.

I've been playing with the saturation levels on my projector and was wondering if anyone had any idea as to how one should set the mix of saturation and gamma.

For my screen i'm considering buying some da lite screen material (though I'm not sure it is will be worth it as I already have been having difficulties with my projector bieng to bright when it's projecting less then 100") and I am also looking considering trying the following (though it is quite obviously not to scale):

Changed my projector to a split frensel design from an unsplit design and the eveness of my brightness is now greatly improved, after i've done this I think i'll scrap the second screen idea and go with the first one. Only baby steps at the moment but every bit helps.

(I'm also looking at building a curved screen, any ideas help would be appreciated).

I am going to be building myself an anamorphic lense using two of these. (I have done this part before and find it easier then building a screen, or even hanging up blackout cloath). Anyway, I am still racking my brain figuring out how to build a curved cinemascope screen (much like Brain Sturgeons screen, though obviously diy'ed). Once again, i'm open to any ideas as I think it may very well prove bieng harder to build thern the projector itself. .
