Default Suntory_Times Beedtoom Home Theatre (some audio gear posted and updates projected ima

Below are some photos of the projected image. I curently haven't got my system entirely set-up (as i'm in the middle of moving) but thought I would just throw up some photos for people to see. The equipement I use currently is shown in my signiture.

Some chronicles of riddick photos at a projected image of around 85" with some better photos to come [photos of the projector, speakers, beedroom well be taken soon(ish)]. Let me know what you think. [I should note that the projected image in real life looks quite a lot better].

(update, some new photos and i've played around a bit with the contrast, brighness and saturation, though in person there is a big improvement my photos possibly look worse then before, gotta learn how to use a camera so very badly).

Chronicles of Riddick:

King Kong:

Mission Impossible 3:

I shall do as soon as it is set up properly (it will probably be three weeks untill it is, though i'll post updates as I have them). I am currently moving so it's actually not really set up and has just been proped up with unstreched black-out cloath etc... (also thankyou for the kind word ).

The above photos where taking with a chronicles of ridick HDDVD via an xbox 360. My laptop is off bieng repaired atm so the image I see in person is not as good as usual (as I usually use my laptop as a htpc and video processor), and also means i'm currently without a blu ray player (the photos shown here aren't the greatest representation of what I actually see, largely as the camera seems to have smeered the colours together resulting in an image a lot less sharp then I currently see, and a lot less balanced in terms of colour saturation. I also haven't set the projector up at all for the room [which I actually wanted to later demonstrate the difference between an untweaked system and a tweaked system], though it still looks quite good). If anyone has any tips as to how to best set up there camera to take pics of projected images i'm all ears.

looks great! I can't wait to see pictures of the DIY projector setup you have going......

How do you normally have the screen set up? If you're thinking of "Re-doing" the Black-out-cloth screen, let me know and I'll tell you how I created mine (which turned out great in my opinion)

Look'n good.

I'm redoing mine as i'm moving (and don't have a zoom function on my projector), so am limited to creating the image size based on where I can place the projector (that bieng said i've found it to have a good throw for most rooms). Anyway, I usually just strech out the blackout cloath like an artist canvase and then apply a plack trim (though i'm more then open to ideas. What I have done in the past is shown on my ht 'building' thread.

Some photo of my headphone audio gear in its temporary set-up (HTPC is off bieng repaired atm so is not pictured):

Yes, my headphones alone with recable and woddies cost almost twice as much as building my projector. (i'm more an audiophile then a videophile).

Also updated the photos in the original post.

I'm posting in home theater galleries section, and in no way is a home theater gallery just for showing your individual components, but also the screen...

A bit of an update, i've been working on my anamorphic lense and will be building it in a permanent enclosure soon.

{update} progress has been delayed so updates wont be frequent. I'm also changing my projector from a long throw to a short throw projector to attain a larger image.
