Default Need help choosing a Reciever!!!Please Help

I'm trying to choose a good midrange receiver. I've cut it down to these two:
Onkyo TXSR-706b and the Pioneer VSX-1018. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The Pioneer. No real reason, just my opinion it would be the better of the 2.

Pioneer makes a richer, more full sound, while the Onkyo's give you 1800 connections and a ton of features that make for a great bullet point presentation.
Pioneer and Denon give the best balance of sound, features, and price. IMO
Marantz, Rotel, and Outlaw sound great but are far more expensive if you want them with the latest codecs.

If your willing to wait till April Pioneer has their new line coming out at excellent feature to price ratio. The first iphone certified receivers to hit the market.
