Default Help choosing

I have a few projectors in mind and I was wondering what your opinions were on which one to get. They are the Epson 6500UB, the Sanyo PLVZ3000, or the Sony VPL-HW10. Thanks !

You should throw the AE3000 from panasonic in there. I can't comment on the other since i never saw one running in my setup. But i have a AE3000 and it's very good. IMHO the best Projector i owned in many...

Those are all very good projectors, but they do have some differences.

If you plan on watching predominantly movies in a light-controlled room with a screen smaller than 108", I would suggest the Sony as I think it has the best film like image of the three.

If you want a larger screen then I would look more towards the Epson than the Sanyo.

On the other hand, if you plan on watching a lot of Sports content in a room with ambient light, then I would look towards the Sanyo which is very bright in it's brightest mode with some accurate colors that don't appear to be as saturated as many are in their "Dynamic" settigns. Of course, they are still quite saturated as that is what the Dynamic setting does to try to cut through the ambient light.

The Epson however does have Motion Interpolation if that is something you want to consider for HD sports content.

Good luck with your choice, I'm sure you will enjoy whichever you choose.

Look here. And here's a review. Black levels, light output, color accuracy, shadow detail, sharpness, 1080p/24fps, interchangeable color covers, are all just about as good as you can get for a $5000 projector. Just look at the price.

It will be strictly for movies with the odd hockey game on a 120" screen. So basically what I'm hearing is that the Epson would all around be my best choice ?
