For a movie based around cars, I'd probably go with The Fast and the Furious, good entertainment and loads of cool cars.

My favourite car in a movie would have to be a tie between the Batmobile (Burton's version not Schwremaher's versions) or the Tumbler (from Batman Begins / TDK)

Growing up, though, I have to say the 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 from Back to the Future had a big impact on me. 1.21 Gigawatts!

You can build one, it's just a fiberglass body kit. You would be much better off with a GT-350 by Shelby.
