Red face Burning to ReWriteable

Hi everyone,

Just installed my new LG GGW-H20L Blu-Ray Writer, have noticed it comes with LG branded ReWriteable disc, can anyone tell me do I have to prepare this disc before burning and what sort of time to expect to write 12GB of data, I have installed power2go software.

Any help / Tips on this would be very helpful.

Regards

The burning software should format the disc if needed before the burn.
Time? How fast is the drive? 1x? 2x? 4x?

36mbps for 1x
72mbps for 2x
... and so on.

I don't have an answer for you...but I just wanted to say ENJOY...

I've been enjoying my new burner thoroughly.

Let us know how your burn does. I have the same drive and the free disc that came with it has never worked for me. I used cheap disks with good success however.

Thanks Guys,

I was having a problem burning to a rewriteable using power2go, but i've now solved the problem, First burn took 2hours for 12GB, then I discovered that I had Enable Defect Management ticked, soon as I unticked this option same Project took about 19mins at 2X.

Was wondering why is this option ticked by default as it seems to cause so many problems.

It's similar to verify so I think companies rather you have a good burn than a bad burn without knowing it till later (just to be safe on their part). Can't blame them...
