My spanish could be off but I'm pretty sure esperar = to hope/wish; haga is from hacer and means "he/she is doing", and companero de cuarto is a roommate (or companero de apartamento). The problem is hacer is used in so many different ways, and can therefore mean just about anything. It depends on the context that it's being used in. Were there other sentences before this question, to hint at what your roommate was doing (writing a book, cooking dinner, watching TV, etc)? Last edited by toef; 02-23-2009 at 10:58 PM. |

![]() Actually, maybe not much, but I thought haga was the present subjunctive? Wouldn't "will do" be hara (with an accent on the 2nd a)? |

Easy: what are you expecting from your apartment-mate or room-mate ? as in what do you expect him/her to do.
