No one can do their job properly anymore

So this is totally off topic (duh!!), but I'm bored and in great anticipation of my new speakers to arrive. What's even more frustrating is that the company who is supposed to be delivering them was supposed to be here between 7am and 12 pm. So, noon shows up and I give them a call to find out where they are, and they tell me that whoever they spoke to on the phone said they wanted delivery between 12 and 4. Which is total bullshit because I was sitting next to my wife when she arranged for them to be delivered between 7 and 12. So now I've wasted almost my entire day as I didn't run my errands this morning because I was waiting for the speakers to arrive. I was told that my speakers should arrive no later than 2pm. As you can see, it is now 2:13 and, guess what? No speakers. It amazes me how much slack companies have in their performance standards.

I'll tell you another thing . . . if you want a job where there is apparently no quality control breathing down your neck, go get a job with Mapquest. Mapquest's SOLE FUC*ING PURPOSE is to provide location and directions, yet every time I get directions from Mapquest there is at least one significant error in the directions. I'm talking a right instead of a left, not just being 2/10s of a mile off here. TOTALLY opposite of the correct information. Thank goodness Google maps has gotten pretty damn good.
