Default Of prices and priorities, a reminder.

Ok, it's been said before and I'll say it again.

The prices are most important to the people buying the new high def players & disks.

$299 HD-DVD players are EVERYWHERE this weekend (no longer only online from certain places).

We may be celebrating overall winnings now, but this will change if blu-ray players are consistently double the price of HD-DVD players for a few months. That's all it will take to lose the edge.

Second is the movies. Sure, we have most of the studios now, and everyone seems to think universal will win. But this can do a quick 180 if thousands and thousands of people pick up on these great deals on HD-DVD. If you guys remember, dvd did the same thing back in the day. Buy a player get a bunch of free movies.

Come on blu-ray, counter with something big! This is not a cry for everyone to start taking losses on players...but it's just a push to come up with something that matters in the eye of the masses.

And before someone comes on and says...well they're obviously getting inferior technology - they don't care. The wii sells for $250 as fast as they get it, consumers don't care it has a tiny bit more power than my smartphone.

I'm a blu-ray supporter through and through, and I want my choice to win. It gets very frustrating when week after week, i see ads that almost visually compare the pricetags between the two formats.
