With all the blockbusters coming out Tuesday (GI Joe, Taking of Pelham, North by Northwest, Forrest Gump, A Christmas Carol, It's a wonderful life, The new Rocky Box set...) they are reviewing BD's of a Fireplace? Jeez...

DJD - Keep in mind that there are thousands of members on this forum, all of which are into different things. While one blu-ray might not fit your desired tastes, it may be enjoyed by someone else, and it's nice to have a site with such a broad scope so as to appeal to all different types of people

. Reviews on this site almost always arrive in a timely manner, so don't fret because I'm sure each and every title you listed will have reviews posted as soon as they are able to be

Personally, I'd rather have a set of reviewers that take their time to provide an accurate and informative critique instead of a slew of rush jobs solely to meet a release date, but that's just me

As it so happens, Mr. Phil Collins Song Title, one of the first Blu's I ever bought was a Christmas fireplace video--
And somehow, no matter which one I keep buying, I always end up with the crappy disappointing one....Which is why I read reviews first.

(Okay, so there's "Yule Log" with the jazzy John Tesh carols, anything better?)

With all the threads in this forum, I click on one titled "Come on, Guys..." because my OCD won't allow otherwise...

And actually, a friend of mine bought me a Blu-ray sampler (fireplace, aquarium, etc.) and the fireplace looked pretty good!

I too am always anxious to read the reviews early for the movies I consider buying but I try to remember a couple things:

If it is a brand new release, the review will not usually affect my buying decision, only on re-releases like Forrest Gump, which I can wait on since I own the DVD.

This site is here to help and not everything can go my way ... yet

If you click on any reviewer's name at the top of the review, you will see what they are scheduled to review next. This may alleviate some of your anxiety.

It's hard to post reviews before we have the actual discs/screeners in our hands. Trust me, as soon as we do the bigger titles get reviewed right away, but in the meantime our reviewers keep busy with other titles
