Default Advice on Buying Gold
For all of those financially savy folks around here, what do you advise? I've got a tax refund and an '08 bonus coming in the next couple of months, and have been considering buying some gold as a hedge against possible hyper-inflation. IMO, this economy is going to get a lot worse before it gets better. First, what are folks' thoughts on buying gold? Recommended or not, and why? Second, where does one buy gold? Are there any places that are better than others? Do I get a better price for the more I purchase?

I've done some research online, but wanted to get some real-world advice from those familiar with the subject. Any help would be appreciated.
