Problems with Transporter 3 and Sony BDP S550

I received my copy of Transporter 3 on bluray today, and I am having problems playing it. I have one US region A Sony BDP S550 and a European Region B PS3. None of these players find the disc, even the reg B player should read the disc and say 'wrong region'. They just keep spinning and spinning with no result.
I know that there have been brand specific problems with discs before, like Ironman, and was wondering if anyone else have had a chance to test this.
I know the movie isnt released for another 10 days, but surely someone else must have an equally good (or better) bluray-dealer that I have
It could ofcourse just be my disc, but I wanted to ask anyways..

i dont believe the 550 will play bootleg Blu-Ray movies honestly . Send it back to Jaheeb.

Its not a bootleg. The store I buy from get the US releases up to 2 weeks before release date, and start selling right away.

So I'm not the only here who gets Blu Rays and DVD's up to two weeks before the release date.

I'm going to buy this in a few weeks after I've bought my multizone Blu Ray Disc Player, since this is region locked. I should have my player by the end of the month.

In regards to your problem, I'll check with my friend who runs the Movie store in Sydney. He has advanced copies of Transporter 3 today, along with Milk, and I'll know if he or any customers has discovered any problems.

Funny, I own a Sony BDP550 but this is made for Australia, so it is NOT region free. That is why I'm getting another Blu Ray Disc Player that can play anything.

I am getting a replacement copy tomorrow, the store had one left, and they checked that it worked on their in-store player, so hopefully it was just my copy that was faulty.
But I dont know which brand they use, and this could be a Sony Player issue. (as the PS3 did not identify the disc either, just keeps spinning and searching)

Got my replacement today, and it worked like a charm. Just the one faulty disc, and not entire pressing luckily.
Very entertaining film, and great DTS HD MA soundtrack.
