Ed Wood is terrific, and would have been my first choice, but Sweeney Todd is Burton's ultimate film - sort of his "Mary Poppins" in the way that it pulls together all the disparate elements of his career into a whole - so I'm going with Todd.

Seeing as how he didn't direct Nightmare why *should* it be on the list?

I went with Big Fish. It's not a typical Tim Burton movie, but it's such a good story and so well done, that it just edges out Beetlejuice.

Tough decision.

I'd go with Edward Scissorhands but close behind comes Ed Wood, Big Fish and Sweeney Todd.

The OP says name Tim Burton's best film. Doesn't say anything about directing.
I think it's pretty obvious that Nightmare Before Christmas is a Tim Burton film even if he didn't actually direct it. I also think it's pretty obvious that Nightmare Before Christmas is Tim Burton's best film followed closely by Ed Wood.

I would have to say all of the above and some that aren't even listed. But Edward Scissorhands is my all time favorite. If in ten years you were to ask me what my favorite movie is I would reply "Edward Scissorhands, duh." The only movie to even come close to replace Edward's number one spot (in my book) is Sweeney.

Well, we should add Batman Forever since he has a producer's credit on that, too, but didn't direct it.

Right on the cover of the movie it says Tim Burton's, "A Nightmare Before Christmas." Put Batman Forever as a poll option for all I care, just do the right thing and add NBC.
