Need advice for a new reciever

Hello, I have an old sound system, about 10 years old, and I was thinking about getting a new receiver that was HD ready and all so I can use it with my blu ray player, my speakers are fine for now, but I'll probably replace them in a year or so. Anyways my budget for this receiver is about $200-$400, I only need 5.1 and I want a good amount of watts, and of course I want it to support uncompressed HD sound, what are my options. Thank you.
