Onkyo 706 video blue thingy issues

Ok. I have been looking around on here and I have seen that the 806 video issue has been addressed and is not an issue anymore. I am just wondering if it has been fixed in the 706 yet. Just doing research at this point and really like the 706 especially for the money.

My 706 has NO problems at all. The 806 had the "blue dot issue" that has been resolved for the most part. I heard something about the 706 having a flashing blue screen from time to time when using component to HDMI??? All my gear is HDMI so I will never see this problem, if it is even a problem....?

maybe it would be on the serial #, for units that were made after they fixed it, like the 806 has an 'S' at the end? mine had a 'B' at the end, but I still had issues...I dunno just guessing

I'm guessing it must be the B on the end, because I was looking around and alot of the online retailers are listing it with the B on the end.

When I was doing my research on the 806 when I was looking for an AVR I came across some info that they had fixed the 706 about a month prior to the fix for the 806. None of Onkyo's AVR's are problem free. The 706 had a whole different slew of HDMI problems and some of the same of the 806. They both use different video processing chips but share the same HDMI motherboard...or atleast they used too.

They had to swap the HDMI board in the 806's

So how would I know if mine was fixed? Would it have a "sticker" over the seriel number like they did with the 806? I dought mine is a fixed one. I use all HDMI gear anyway, but still...
