Default yet Another animated Star Wars series coming, sequel to Return Of The JEDI!!!

Now this news could be awesome: http://www.aintitcool.com/node/44708

It's supposed to take place after Return Of The Jedi and be animated like the Clone Wars series is.

This makes like 4 new Star Wars shows coming up.

[Show spoiler]If they bring Anakin back from the other side of the Force, I am definitely in for a SW show.

I doubt they're bringing back Anakin. But Palpatine is always ripe for resurrection.

And Boba Fett, as much as I prefer to consider him dead in Jedi.... could return.

Well if everyone I've discussed it with is correct, Boba survived the Sarlacc pit, just not sure how.

Yeah, but that's the non-canon EU stuff. Lucas considers Boba having died in the Sarlaac.

Palpatine was pretty much cremated inside the core of the second, incomplete Death Star, wasn't he?

Yup and I know Marquand said they could do a show about the events between III and IV, still holding out hope for that.

Steve Sansweet confirmed at C2E2 that LucasFilm plans to revisit the original cast of characters from Star Wars in post Return of the Jedi adventures.

However, it will be in the same animated format as The Clone Wars series running today.
And my interest just dropped off.

Oh, there was one ominous thing he said though... not everyone who dies in sci-fi stays dead. He continued by stating we'll see what he means in 3 to 4 years.
Interest gone.

Although I haven't had any interest in Star Wars cartoons before, the fact that they'd be bringing back the original trilogy characters for this does get my attention. Too bad they wouldn't be able to get the original actors to provide their voices (maybe Mark Hamil would do it).

Anyways, it would be a dream come true if they would make a live-action Shadows of the Empire film. Now that would get people excited about Star Wars again!

He wouldn't. He's a great voice actor but he has removed himself from Star Wars completely.

if it was animation like the star wars the old republic trailer and more adult then yea i would get excited but othwise its lucas aiming at teh wrong generation

The Bearded One also believes in Midi-chlorians, so his opinions are suspect.

His opinions are all that matters. He's the one who created the Universe.

yea but he has left a lot of it such as the old republic and extended universe to other writers and it has all been part of the universe because hardly any of it over laps or contradicts itself and Lucas agreed to it.

This is what I have been waiting for since I first saw Return Of The Jedi! The prequel stuff leaves me cold for the most part, but I always felt that there was so much potential for events after Vader's death. Yes, I know there are the many novels, but Lucas has never considered them canon.

I would actually forgive Lucas for making me sit through Episodes I through III if this turns out okay.

Since when? You know that he approves all storylines for the novels/comics and what not right? All of it is considered canon.

I'd be interested if the show wasn't going to look like the animation from The Clown Wars...
