My question is about the Magnavox (Funai) NB530MGX. It is the newer model and the front of the player/manual only mention DTS-HD and that it supports it. I'm sure this question has been posted numerous times but I am looking for a quick answer. When I play a blu-ray that has Dolby Digital TrueHD instead am I still getting the HD audio? My player is hooked up through HDMI. Also for 7.1; will any player support that via HDMI? Thanks.

There is a thread on all Funai-made and most other BD players. Most of your questions are answered there. I will move this to that section.

I just went and looked at my receiver and I am hooked up through an Onkyo TX-SR606 receiver, but I don't know any of the specifics on it. I got it without a box, manuals, etc. for about 150 dollars off because someone returned it. Bought it and out of chanced it worked. I have looked up some things on it and I do believe it is a 7.1, i think it does say it on the receiver(since I got it yesterday I haven't really looked closely), but even with it I might be getting 7.1 but does my player support TrueHD via hdmi, even it if wasn't hooked to a reciever?

The Onkyo 606 decodes all formats and it can process multichannel PCM from players that do the decoding. I'm not familiar with the Funai. But, the manual likely explains how it handles TrueHD and dts-MA - decoding itself, bitstreaming to a receiver for decoding, or not at all. I suspect it will bitstream to your Onkyo for decoding. The Onkyo manual is available online at the Onkyo USA website.
