Default Upgrade my receiver or Blu ray player to get Dolby TrueHD, DTS MA

I have a Pioneer Elite 84 receiver which does not internally decode DTS HD MA or Dolby True HD. I was wondering cost wise and long term would I be better of upgrading to the Elite 94 which does the internally decoding of DTS HD MA and Dolby TrueHD and just use my PS3 or should I just keep my current receiver and wait for the upcoming Blu ray players that internally decode DTS HD MA and Dolby True HD? My current receiver will accept pass thru but will not internally decode it.

if you have a player that internally decodes the sound, then you dont need the decoding in the reciever. as long as your receiver can handle lpcm and output it. your ps3 can decode true hd and output it as lpcm to a compatible receiver. the firmware to decode dts ma is supposedly coming soon. my onkyo can decode both formats but im not using it because my ps3 cannot send the sound in bitstream form. im considering getting the new 350 from sony later this year so i can bitstream the audio so my reciever can decode them.

If I were you I'd wait for the ps3 update for DTS-MA or get one of those upcoming BD players that can internally decode all formats.

Thanks my brothers for the advice. I'll sit it out a few more months and hope Sony updates the FW on the PS3.
