Default Is my room big enough?

I've looked around on the forums but I couldn't really find anything that helped me.

I am a college student and I currently still live at home, I am the only one in the house with bluray and the living room is too much of a hassle to hook up a stereo to my PS3.

So my question is, my room is 10x10 and I am looking to find a decent surround sound for my room. Would it be worth it? Would it sound like crap? People have told me it wont sound good but I thought I'd check here before purchasing anything.

Again, sorry if this is posted elsewhere. Thanks.

It will easily sound 100x better than the tv! Don't worry about the room size too much. It would be worthwhile for anything but a closet in my opinion (and I'd even still consider it then!)

There are plenty of people on here with bedroom HT's. And like MacDaddy said, It's gotta sound better than the wack a$$ tv speakers. There are so many options out there from very small to extremely large speakers

Good Luck

Look at Gremal's setup...... don't let room-size restrict you...... Let your budget do that

I still want to see you squeeze those 4 towers for the Nola Grand Reference speakers in your apartment.

I have my HT in a 10'x12' room and it's perfect. The bigger the room, the bigger your screen needs to be and the more powerful your receiver needs to be. The downside is that there is less room for guests.
