Angry PS3 Died/Part 3/What Broke?

I just sent out my PS3 that died. The unit would not turn on and had a disc (movie-non Blu-Ray) stuck inside. I am reaching out to my fellow Blu-Ray members and asking when you got your unit back from Sony what was the diagnosis? Did they provide any reason(s) for the units failure? My unit is a 60 gig purchased in January of '07. It is ironic in that I teased all of the XBox crowd about the "Ring of Death" that thier units crashed from. I also only lasted only six days until I bought another unit

Mine broke twice...they usually don't tell you what they fixed, they just fix it. But both times my lazer diode broke, luckuly both times were within sony warranty so they fixed it for free...

I haven't sent in my unit for repair to Sony as I've repaired it myself. I wish I could be more help!

Mine's away for a Blu drive repair atm.
The repair guy said 'let me guess, a 60 gig?'
They are starting to fail, mine was 18mths old.
