poll: motorstorm: pr vs burnout paridise - Blu-ray Forum

im planning on getting a racing game soon, ive played the demo for both games. i heard the motor storm 2 demo was horrible but i played the 1st one at a friends house and kinda liked it i just sucked. i chose burnout paridise over need for speed under cover and midnight club la for several reasons. i know they are very different but im bad at racing games so i would be a very casual racing gamer. so which would u think is better for a casual crappy racing gamer. (only racing game im good at is mario kart

I'm a casual gamer and I like both of them but Motorstom 1&2 are among my favorites so that's what I voted for.

Yeah, the demo for Motorstorm 2 was bad compared to the full game. The full game is much better and heh, I probably spent the first few nights that I had it just taking screenshots (I love that feature). I posted a bunch of screenshots from Motorstorm 2 in this thread:

for the money, burnout is definitely better. i logged about 70 hours on the game already, and am not done by any means. theres so much to do online, and the devs have shown that they are gonna support this game hardcore--and so far everything has been free!! the actual racing is pretty good; i loved the open world, but it really is a love-hate thing because some people did not like it at all. motorstorm pr is only $40 this week at BB, so it makes it a much closer choice, and in the end, either way you get a great game. but i can't imagine playing motorstorm half as long as i play burnout.

Damn, that's a tough one. I absolutely love both games. Due to all the extra (free) content, I'm gonna have to go with Burnout Paradise though.

I have both and am playing motorstorm now but don't see much replayability (is that even a real word?) after finishing all the races.

Burnout is fun to just drive around even if you are not racing and they are constantly putting out updates with new stuff to do.

My vote: Burnout.

Personally I like Motorstorm: PR better. Burnout looked great but I hated the stunt mode and I am not big on the 'open world' driving games. Motorstorm is a blast with friends, especially when beer is involved.

Seriously why put out a demo like that.. Worst level and not even the same feel.. This is one reason why I say wait until the game has been out a week or two to release a demo (from the final build).

That demo definitely hurt sales of the game. I almost didn't buy and was having a hard time believing people were being honest at such a difference in the final build.

i have another question about burnout. does it have cops like in the need for speed games. i really liked getting into chases and it would make burnout so much more fun for me.

This has certainly helped me choose which game to buy. Though I will probably eventually pick up MS:PR, it will be Burnout for now....

So how much better is the full Pacific Rift vs the demo cause I thought the demo was a step back from the first and that caused me not to buy this game.
