Exclamation NEED YOUR HELP: British Films...

Hey guys,

Currently on the lookout for British screenwriters for an upcoming project...what British films do you guys know of, or films with British directors? Throw out any you can think of...much appreciated!

EDIT: Looking for films/directors that aren't as "well known" i.e. Ridley Scott movies would not really fit the criteria. The upcoming project does not have a HUGE budget so I'm primarily looking for independent or studio/commercial movies that aren't as large scale.

How 'bout... The Monty Python troupe (Cleese, Palin, Gilliam, Idle... am missing someone), Mr. Bean and Benny Hill!

Am pretty sure Ridley Scott is British; bunch of decent flicks with him alone...

Paul McGuigan. Director of Ganster No 1 and Lucky Number Slevin. Technically he is Scottish. Also Matthew Vaughan who directed Layer Cake and Stardust and the Upcoming Kick A**.

No prob. Although the guys I mentioned are becoming pretty high profile these days. I also thought of another guy. Garth Jennings, director of Hitchikers Guide and Son of Rambow.

Nick Love (writer/director - Football Factory)
Garth Jennings (writer/director - Son of Rambow)
Dean Craig (writer - Death at a Funeral)
Nick Willing (director - Photographing Fairies)
