Default Using laptop for wireless hookup??

I have an xbox 360, and I am able to use my laptop to hookup that console to our wireless network. I do this by physically connecting the console to the laptop via an ethernet cable, then bridge that connection with my wireless connection that the laptop also has. Are you able to do this with a blue ray player in the same manner? Specifically I am wondering if you can do this with the panasonic dmp-bd35.

I have a similar set up but I'm using Internet Connection Sharing.

With my router, I have DHCP disabled. I have another PC which acts as a gateway out to the internet. I manually configured my Laptop, HD DVR, and my Sony BDP S350 to point to my Internet Gateway to access the internet.

example of how my devices are configured

Wireless Router
192.168.1.1

Internet Gateway PC
192.168.1.2
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.2 (default gateway)

192.168.1.2 (Primary DNS)

Devices will have address similar ip address and subnet mask.

The Default Gateway and Primary DNS settings for all other devices will be the IP address of the Internet Gateway PC.

With this setting I'm able to have BD Live content and Firmware updates from the net, as well as Turning my Direct TV HD DVR into a Media Hub.

If you're in my situation where you're using a Wireless USB modem from Verizon or what ever wireless company, this is the way to go but you are there are bandwidth limitations with this set up.

Hope this helps

Sure does,

Although I do not have the unit yet, I was just really wondering if it could be done and based on what you have shown, it can.

Thanks!!!
