I think this is a must-release for the WB, if they want to grab those of us in my generation who watched this as children. Saw it on Amazon.Com but gah those reviews will keep me waiting for a US release, hopefully with a much better PQ.

saw this one on one of the HD Channels. and it looked cool in 1080i so I agree the blu should look great in 1080p.

Wolverine-agreed. Definitely stay away from the Dutch Blu. As a fan of this film, and the story, I was incredibly disappointed with the PQ when I received it last year. Here's one that could use some cool packaging! Maybe Bastian's book! (Sorry, grew up in Germany, and the author is German, so this story was a cornerstone of my childood-hence all of the excitement!)

One of my favorite childhood films. Here's to hoping that a complete restoration is done and released on BD.

I almost picked up the import but the reviews were terrible. I'm with LOrd Lemon...we need a new transfer.

I almost bought the Dutch import last year but decided to watch this again as I hadn't seen it since I was probably 10 and wow...........this movie did not age well hahahaha. My memory made it out to be epic and well.................yeah..............

word is that the recent HDNet Movie airing of the film, is that it looks incredible... I really wish, Warner's would just release this, I'd buy this at a heartbeat.

Yeah I must have watched it 20 times as a child. I love this movie and would instabuy it if it was released.

has been released also in Italy
Video quality is pretty nice,not awesome but better a lot than the dvd version!
Must have for sure

By some chance does the Italian version contain a Lossless Audio track or is it just a direct port of the Dutch version?

sorry but english track inside is only Dolby digital 2.0
