Default Yamaha RX-V1800...future proof? (ish?)

Hi All,

Considering picking up a new receiver, and I can pick up the Yamaha RX-V1800 for @ $900 here in Canada.

My concern is not getting 1 year from now and wishing I'd either waited, or spent another 200-300.

The rest of my current setup is:

TV - Sony Wega KF-50WE610 50" LCD Rear Projection (replacing)

Amp - Sony DTC 1000ES (replacing)

Speakers -
F, C, R, NHT.
LS, RS, Mirage (in ceiling).
Sub - Mirage Prestige S10

Blu-ray - Panasonic BD-55

Connections:

Video - HDMI direct connect to TV
Audio - Multi channel out from BD to Amp (amp set to multi-in, obv). No HDMI input on amp, which is why I'm replacing it.

TV will be replaced before Christmas with Panasonic TH-58PZ850U.

All help and opinions more than welcome, I'm new to this forum and I'm very happy I found it.
