Default sub set up

Would you guys recommend setting my sub up on a small riser of sorts, or is having it sitting on the carpet ok? Just trying to get the biggest bang for my buck. I have the Prosoub 800 from Definitive Technology. Thanks for the help!

i would place it on a riser designed for subs, or build your own this will help decouple the speaker and will give you the best sound. If your sub can be spiked then just place it on the carpet and you should be good.

Quite funny that you ask this, as I just made a few this weekend. I have detailed info in the link below, post #75 as to how I made mine for not only my sub, but for both fronts too for less than $50.
