Default Questions about the Dell Studio Blu-Ray Drive...

Hello!

I bought my Dell Studio 17 Laptop back in August and got the free Blu-Ray player upgrade ( I already had a PS3 ). So I really only used it for watching movies on the go or at friends places.

Except now I've bought AnyDVD HD and PowerDVD Ultra and I have a question.

Whenever I try to send the audio as PCM ( i.e. the PowerDVD Ultra will decode it ) it will send it as a PCM 2.0 channel track. But if I send it as Dolby Digital / DTS Pass through, I'll get the DD / DTS ( core i believe ) tracks as my reciever cannot decode DTS HD MA or TrueHD.

My laptop is hooked up via a HDMI cable. But I'm unsure if, like the PS3, is not 1.3 compliant. Any time I call Dell they say "we don't know what your asking".

Here are my specs:

IDT Drivers ( Speakers )
RealTek HDMI Drivers
Intel Core 2 Duo Chipset
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650

I will also point out that I have no issues with 1080p playback on the laptop or outputed to my TV ( via HDMI to my Reciever ).
