Default Disney's intentional reference???? or "Borrowed" ??

I've been wondering if Disney intentionally "Borrowed" the "I think I can" of the train in "Dumbo" when it goes up the hill (and then back down) from "The Little Engine that Could" story.... which I know precedes the story of Dumbo (at least I'm fairly sure it does)

Anyone know if "The Little Engine That Could" was a "big hit" and widely known by the time Disney put out Dumbo, or is it just a coincidence? Was there ever a lawsuit or threat of one?

There's a reference to "The Little Engine That Could". While Casey Jr. is trying to get up a hill, the train sounds like it's talking. It says "I think I can, I think I can." Then when the train gets up the hill and starts going faster, it changes to, "I thought I could, I thought I could."
no stories of lawsuits or anything
