An odd favor to ask of one of you kind people

I want to purchase the star trek motion picture collection on blu ray may 12 when it gets released. But paramount is not putting these movies in a normal blu ray cases. They are putting these movies into a slim line blu ray cases. I am very picky when it comes to my blu ray cases and only want regular blu ray cases on my blu ray shelf. So I got the idea from another member to take the insert out of a blu ray slim line cases that the star trek will be on and put the insert and movie into a blank blu ray case. I am wondering if this would work? I don't have a blu ray slim line case to try this theory out. I do have a regular(SD) slim line case but I tried that insert but it was a little to big. Regular dvd's aren't the same size as blu ray. Would one of you guys that would happen to have a blu ray slim line cae take out the insert and put it in a regular blu ray case and let me know if this will work. It doesen't have to be perfect. But I would like it to look close. Thanks for your trouble.
