Default So What Kind of People Are Early Adopters?

Many of the profiles here don't yield much information. I'm not really an early adopter myself, I just jumped on the bandwagon this summer, and it's more about getting the most out of my new home theater at reasonable expense than the BD/HD war. I have both types of players, and I'm not a gamer, but I hope HDDVD goes away.

Anyway, y'all spend a lot of time and money on this "hobby". Are you young, old, professional, students, wealthy, scraping by, white or African or Asian or other...? It's an expensive hobby, by the way.

I'm interested, because I want to correlate your opinions about technology, marketing, consumers, Americans and new movies and old movies with a little bit of demographics. It's not important; its just interesting. None of my close associates, that I know of, are remotely interested in television, home theater or associated topics, but none of them are interested in parrots and homebrewing either. My family could never afford to participate in this.
