Default New Titles from Paramount (unconfirmed)

EDIT: after some controversy over these titles being leaked too early I just want to stress that they are completely, totally, 100% UNCONFIRMED. As far as the studios are concerned, most of these titles have NOT been announced for a blu-ray release in any way, and that is how we should treat the discussion for now.

Hey guys. Just found this announcement at blu-news.com. Some of these titles have been announced previously - some not. From what I've gathered they seem pretty reliable over there but as of now it's not confirmed (aside from pre-announced titles)

48 Hrs. Standard Blu-Ray
Airplane! Standard Blu-Ray
Braveheart Special Edition Blu-Ray
Deep Impact Standard Blu-Ray
Escape from L.A. Standard Blu-Ray
Firm, The Standard Blu-Ray
Friday the 13th Part 2 Standard Blu-Ray
Friday the 13th Part 3 Standard Blu-Ray
Forrest Gump Special Edition Blu-Ray
Indiana Jones: The Adventure Collection Standard Blu-Ray
John Grisham's The Rainmaker Standard Blu-Ray
K-19: The Widowmaker Standard Blu-Ray
Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events Standard Blu-Ray
Longest Yard (2005), The Standard Blu-Ray
Presidio, The Standard Blu-Ray
School of Rock Standard Blu-Ray
Score, The Standard Blu-Ray
Stardust Standard Blu-Ray
Varsity Blues Standard Blu-Ray
Zoolander Standard Blu-Ray

I will look forward to a lot of these..still haven't seen lemmony snickets because I've been waiting for a blu release.

Random question...does escape from LA have anything to do with escape from New York (no time to look it up right now)?

Running this post by Bill Hunt from The Digital Bits would be a good idea. He seems to have a lot of industry insider scoops. He may have contacts that can confirm or deny these titles, maybe even give an indicator of dates.

How the hell they gonna do us with Escape from LA before New York? That's a killer. I love New York (har har) but didn't really like the LA sequel.

Digital Bits have already pretty much confirmed that Indy, Gump and Braveheart are coming. Apart from the John Grisham titles theres nothing else that appeals here, I hope Paramount have a lot more planned than this.

ya, i didn't post the whole article, but it said something like "just a taste of whats to come from paramount". although, i do think there are some pretty solid titles here.

also, doesnt the dude who runs that site post here?

I am not very excited by most of the deep catalog titles. Many of these have been available in the cheap dvd bins for years.

Escape From New York is not a Paramount title, so they don't really have any control over that.

What does our source say about Gladiator? I assume that will be distributed by Paramount (on behalf of Dreamworks).

EDIT: Nevermind. Mr Hunt had already posted something in his thread.

There's a long list of titles that have been planned for DVD release, but when the news leaked too early online they were cancelled altogether. I tell you... some of these kids on the Internet these days. This is what happens when sites come down with a bad case of "exclusive scoop-ism syndrome" - lines get crossed that actually damage the thing you love.
Hmmm I wonder what Blu-News will make of that.
