Could you imagine how long it would take to burn a blu ray? As far as I can tell, the configuration is only USB supported... Yipes!

But good idea if you need to make a backup over night of your system.

Pretty tough considering the BDU-x10s is only a blu-ray reader not a blu-ray burner.

Only the Lite on configuration burns BD carefully read the entire post

The Sony plays BD (ie BD ROM) and burns DVD.
Yes the configuration is for USB but the unit is for SATA drives and turns them into USB externals. Can't beat this with a stick

opps I need to whip myself !!!

The Sony drive is only a rom drive both ways (dvd also - no burning at all)
But the Lite-ON model does burn both

And still can't beat it with at stick
