I love Anne and I have a lot of her movies but this didn't get the best reviews so not sure it's worth a blind buy.

Something exciting happened to me today. My retailer got an advanced copy of "Passengers" from his distributor. I'm told this is a preview copy but it is the same as the one coming in May. How cool is this?!! I got one of the very few if not the only copy worldwide, two months early!! I'll be watching this in a few weeks when my NEW Multizone Blu Ray Disc Player arrives. (YES, it is region locked, as was tested at the shop by my friend)

Anyways, since I am a big Anne Hathaway fan, I'll watch it for sure. I'm leaning towards a rental first though. The trailer made the movie look interesting, but I still have to watch what I spend with so much being released before this comes out.

Will be snagging this and Bride Wars for sure, Hathaway's presence in my collection continues to grow. Too bad she doesn't have anymore movies coming until next year.

I got the screener and it wasn't what I was expecting. It's not the kind of movie you watch twice so I'd say it's a renter.

I think Hathaway's perfect looks and strong acting are really driving sales of what would be weaker films that most people wouldn't give a second look to! Shes an oscar winner for the future for sure!

The copy I bought over a month ago, is still wrapped in plastic. I'm still waiting for my Region Free Blu Ray Player due out early June.

You have a point. Not saying that this or Bride Wars are bad movies, but I wouldn't have even noticed this movie without her being in it. She has a very bright future. She just needs some more roles that get her noticed by the industry like Rachel Getting Married and The Devil Wears Prada.

In my opinion "Passengers" and "Bride Wars" are not good movies. I am a big fan of Anne Hathaway, but appearing in too many loser movies could hurt her bankability in Hollywood and limit her career. Movies like "Havoc" don't help that, either.

I also somewhat agree there. I haven't seen Passengers yet, but I wasn't overly impressed with Bride Wars. It was alright, but I was hoping for better. You're right that she could limit her career by picking too many movies that are considered bad, but I don't think either Passengers or Bride Wars qualify as potential career killers. I'm pulling for her to land some more roles like I mentioned earlier (Rachel Getting Married and The Devil Wears Prada).

Passengers and Bride Wars are pretty crappy. Yes Havoc wasn't great but it was necessary to break out from childrens roles to serious films.
