United Kingdom UK cases

I just received UK Imports of The Island and Predator 2, and I noticed that the cases were a little thicker. Are all the UK cases thicker than the ones released in USA?

I also have a German import of 12 Monkeys and it has the slim design like my others.

I can confirm that every UK and Australian Blu-Ray comes in the thicker spined cases... at least the ones I have bought/seen anyway, which is quite a few...

Not all UK cases are thick(er). Depends on the distributors.

I've got 150+ UK discs and the only ones in a thin US style case are:

Apocalypto
Shawshank Redemption
Funny Games
30 Days Of Night
Training Day

The majority are thicker, (the same as PS3 cases I believe) but there is a selection of titles that are "thin" but they are generally thicker which I personally prefer for some reason...

Pretty much all of them are thicker.

I remember Casino Royale came in a thin one so I returned it and got the Deluxe Edition. Not a fan of the thin cases...

Must admit I prefer the thicker cases, they may take up more space, but the titles stand out a bit better on your shelf.

I know the UK HD DVDS for Harry Potter were thicker, but I think The Mummy was the usual thin, so yeah, different distributers, as obviously HP is WB and Mummy is Universal.

The box set version of The Mummy is in a thick case. I don't have any Universal Blu's in thin cases.

I hate the thick cases because I already have storage issues as it is so the thinner the case the better.
