Skateboard videos on Blu-ray - Blu-ray Forum

Am I alone here? I would love to see some skateboard videos on Blu!

I know the majority of them were shot on home video cameras, but there are also quite a bit that were shot in film and very well produced.

If some videos exist, point me to the right direction!

Definitely! I just got back from a weekend of snowboarding. Imagine the details of the mountains and snow from wide helicopter shots on Blu-ray! Or the details in the textures of the concrete jungles in a skateboard video. I think these would sell amazingly well.

There's a channel on Dish i think call Monster that shows all kinds of outdoor x-style stuff is pretty cool, i love the scenery.

with the new canon xl h1 on the market i think we are going to start to see some video on blu-ray just got to give them time to get all the hd equipment, the problem is a lot of these companies have very limited budgets and moving over to hd takes newer faster computers, hd cameras, hd capture cards, hd software, and blu-ray burners. i really doubt they will re-master old skate and snow vids for blu-ray so we will probably just have to wait for them to start shooting in hd

Amazon is selling Lakai's Fully Flared, which is a 3-disc box set. The 3rd disc is blu. Pretty amazing stuff, cinematography is beautiful! Check it out.

I was just reading the new skate video "Pretty Sweet" from Girl/Chocolate is coming out soon on blu-ray. I think this is the first and only since Debacle from Nike SB.

I read that the master file was completed just last week so, retailers won't be getting copies until end of November/early December.

Thanks for the list. I've been out of skateboarding since 2006 and I just found my VHS tapes and DVDs and was wondering if they started making them on Blu-ray.
