[UK] Sony set on anime - Blu-ray Forum

January 7th looks to have a trio of titles from Sony UK with Cowboy Bebop, Paprika and Steamboy. They also look to be releasing the Tekkon Kinkreet film on September 25th of this year, the same time as the US release. FF7:AC also looks to have a tentative date.

Great news. With TK getting the same dates, hopefully we'll get news that those others will get the same date release here in the States as well. I would buy all three.

Things went a bit quiet on the Advent Children front, especially for western release so it's promising that they're at least thinking about releasing here this year.

FINAL FANTASY VII: ADVENT CHILDREN

Light on specs and American date format but I'm sure there will be an English lossless soundtrack of some kind. It's a short movie but I still expect a dual layer, high bitrate AVC encode. Please, please please!

Good news because they'll be playable in the US. I'll probably pick up all 3 (but I suspect announcement for US release very soon).

Had to think about that one for a moment.

Then remembered most of our releases are region free and these are over a year old so must be region free.

Yah, remember Sony announced a few months ago that all their Region A/B/C releases would be region free. At least imports from Amazon.UK aren't as expensive as opposed to Amazon.fr.

BTW: I called these 3 titles as Sony releases earlier this year. Not a big fan of Steamboy, but it's still not bad.
