PS3 launch in Korea later this week - Blu-ray Forum

The PS3 is going to be introduced in Korea on the 16th, I believe.

Yippie!

Looks like I'll be dumping my Japan model for a Korean model (so I can play local SD disks more easily).

Hopefully, Samsung will now reduce the price on their BD-P1000 player. It's still at a whopping $1,200 here! Local price-protections gouging the public.

There's already been a big boost in the number of PS3 topics posted at ruliweb.com, long may it continue after launch.
