Default New firmware for Samsung BD-P1590

It's just been released today. Has anyone tried it? I'm hoping it fixes a few glitches (ie- Watchmen, some Disney films, etc).

Meh... Tried the USB upgraded a few times, even reformatted the USB drive and redownloaded it. It keep hanging up on "Verifying Firmware" screen. Against my better judgment I'm trying to let it upgrade itself via the internet.

SUCCESS!

After a long download, it successfully installed. I did some cursory tests on two Blus that I was having issues with.

First, Ratatouille. It would freeze up at the same place every time. I even had the disc replaced with the same exact results. After the firmware upgrade, it didn't lock up at that point.

Second, Watchmen. The sound would get off sync and would act glitchy. This was especially noticeable on the first scene where The Comedian is being killed. After the firmware, this whole scene played without a hiccup.

Another interesting byproduct of this upgrade is that load times seem even quicker now (seems about half of what it used to be, which was still pretty fast).

This upgrade did not affect Netflix functionality.

If you have this model, get this firmware upgrade ASAP!

If you mean upgrading without connecting the bluray..yes...
go to the samsung site (your country), support...enter your model number...click firmware,,,you should be able to get either USB or to be burned to cd versions of the update

I am attempting to update my firmware for the first time, via USB. After I insert the USB the player says that it recognized the firmware update attempt but then I just get a black screen... Please help.
