Can I plug a U.S ps3 into a 240 watt outlet?

As far as I know all PS3's are sold with a universal power supply. 100-240V. 50-60Hz.

Can't reach my PS3 right now but it probably says on the back near the PSU switch.

I have been running my American PS3 in the UK for the pasted two years with no problems.

Same here, I live in the UK and own the 80gb Motorstorm PS3 that is plugged straight into the wall. The sticker on the back says it is 110v only.
