"Keanu Reeves is attached to star in a contemporary retelling of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novella "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" for Universal Pictures says The Hollywood Reporter.

Plot details of this interpretation are being kept under wraps, though the story of the doctor who scientifically develops an evil self has been adapted many times before.

Justin Haythe (Revolutionary Road) is penning the script while Nicolas Winding Refn (Pusher, Valhalla Rising) is in negotiations to direct. Erwin Stoff, Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher are producing."

Yeah but atleast he can act and has proven time and time again, I really liked Keanu is Point Break and the Bill and Ted's but those required minimal to no acting are are just mindless movies for fun, something like this requires an actor capable of immense talent, and that is Johnny Depp, or Christian Bale.

To be fair, I think Keanu has proven that he has range, mastering both deciduous and coniferous acting styles; I’d say Hyde should be played coniferous.
