1st post and Sin City - Blu-ray Forum

just wanted to say whats up! been coming here and reading posts for like two weeks now and finally registered. i like the info it seems like i am able to get off of you guys.

anyways, why hasnt sin city come out yet on BD? that to me seems like it would make a great showpiece for BD. i love that movie and already own both of the dvd editions, but am trying to build up my hi-def library seeing as how i only own 6 so far with 3 more coming next week.

hey mate and welcome to the forums as to why sin city has'nt come out on blu ray yet the weisten brothers (i think my spelling is off) own the rights to sin city and they are part of the HD DVD camp but its been reported they might start to release stuff in the blu ray starting with grind house . im sure a more well informed member can you fill in with the details but i think thats the current happenings with sin city.

um it would be buena vista that are the distributers. Already seen a preview so it is coming to blu

I'm quite sure that "Sin City" has got nothing to do with Weinstein.

And I'm also sure that Weinstein will start releasing also BluRay-s.

"Sin City" will be probably released before the sequel premieres.

'Sin City' has been featured on the Buena Vista Home Entertainment site. A blu-ray promo came out this past February showcasing several movies and 'Sin City' was one of them. Unfortunately, since that promo no release date has been confirmed. My understanding is that the delay has resulted because Robert Rodriguez is in the process of creating some cool features for the blu-ray. I think they may be waiting for the PiP functionality to be finalized. I have been told we will see this title street in early '08 (fingers crossed). This movie ranks at the top of which movies I want on blu-ray. I can't wait for 'Sin City' on blu-ray.

Disney actually own the rights to that movie through Buena Vista so that is a movie HD DVD is not getting. How do you like them apples? Personally I love them.
