Samsung BD-P1600 and Sony 42WE655 TV - Blu-ray Forum

Quick question...

I have a new P1600 player as of yesterday and a Sony 42WE655 HDTV. I am wondering what settings I should be using for the video for the Blu Ray player.

I can't select 1080p only 1080i. Is this due to a limitation of my TV or the HDMI cable I bought (I did not get real expensive 75 dollar HDMI cable)?

I have the player plugged into my TV only using the HDMI cable as I have no home audio system.

Also, what video aspect should I of chosen?

Any help is appreciated!
