Any chance of JUDGE DREDD coming to blu-ray?

This has killer audio on dvd, especially the LFE & musical score! Looking forward to the lossless treatment!

It would be cool if this included the original cut. Stallone had this movie edited numerous times in order to secure a PG-13 rating. It always got saddled with an R so they simply released the last edited cut they made. I remember reading some magazines that had pictures of him blasting away at the unfinished clones with a shotgun. I've always wanted to see the original cut.

Just watched this movie again tonight. It's so great and nothing like todays scifi films. Dredd really deserves the special edition treatment.

That's the version i saw in theaters but i don't remember anything else that would require an R rating other then the few clones getting blasted by sly though.

I hope this gets released on BD with plenty of extras. I'm looking forward to the new Judge Dredd re-boot. I would love to see a movie based on the Dark Judges storyline.

A reboot has been rumored to be in the works for sometime now.

I read about it and edited my post at the same time you posted your reply.

I couldn't find alot of information on it except that Danny Boyle's DNA Films is producing it, Alex Garland (Sunshine, 28 Days Later) is writing the script, and that John Wagner (Judge Dredd creator) feels that it will be a closer representation of the comic than the previous movie.

I love in that Amazon listing how it lists Rob Schneider but there's no mention of Stallone.

Hopefully a U.S. release isn't far behind.
